Free API request builder

Build cURL, JavaScript and Python examples for HTML, Markdown or screenshot requests. No sign-in or API key is needed here.

Generated in your browser · No scraping requests sent

Configure your request

Use a public HTTP(S) page on port 80 or 443.

domcontentloaded waits for the DOM; load also waits for page resources.

Target the content to extract. This is not a wait-for-element condition.

POSThttps://api.adscrawl.net/html
# Set your API key in your server environment first:
# export ADSCRAWL_API_KEY='YOUR_API_KEY'
: "${ADSCRAWL_API_KEY:?Set ADSCRAWL_API_KEY first}"

curl --fail-with-body --silent --show-error \
  --request POST 'https://api.adscrawl.net/html' \
  --header "x-api-key: $ADSCRAWL_API_KEY" \
  --header 'content-type: application/json' \
  --data-raw '{
  "url": "https://example.com",
  "waitUntil": "domcontentloaded",
  "timeoutMs": 60000,
  "contentMode": "html"
}' \
  --output 'page.html'

A successful request saves page.html.

From example to first request

Choose HTML when you need the rendered page structure, Markdown for readable article content in search or AI workflows, or PNG to preserve a visual record. Markdown uses article extraction, so some pages may not contain a readable article. The selector narrows the target content; it does not add an explicit wait for an element.

Enter a public URL and choose when the page should be ready. Start with domcontentloaded for content, or use load when you need page resources. A page with continuous network activity can time out with networkidle. For screenshots, a selector takes priority over full-page capture. Review the generated body before running it.

Copy the example into your development environment and set ADSCRAWL_API_KEY on the server. JavaScript requires Node.js 18 or later; Python requires requests. The code checks HTTP errors and saves successful output as a file. This builder is free, while API calls use your plan’s credits. Inputs are processed in this browser and are not submitted to the scraping API.
