Residential proxy routing
Gemini capture requests use dynamic residential proxies. Configure the request in AdsCrawl without setting up separate proxy infrastructure for each capture.

01 / THE OVERVIEW
AdsCrawl Gemini Scraper is the Gemini capture capability in AI Search Insights. Send a question to Gemini with your chosen proxy region and browser language, then collect the answer and the source information available during that capture. Explore a question in the console or set platform to gemini in POST /ai-search to collect responses from your own application.
02 / THE DATA
Read the Gemini response and review cited and retrieved sources separately. Keep task and capture context with the data for content research, brand visibility and GEO analysis.
result_textcited_sourcesretrieved_sourcesadscountry_codelocalecapture_context.networktask_idCitations, retrieved sources and ads depend on what appears in each capture and may be empty.
03 / THE CONTEXT
Choose a proxy region, browser language and timeout in the console, then carry those settings into your API request.
Gemini capture requests use dynamic residential proxies. Configure the request in AdsCrawl without setting up separate proxy infrastructure for each capture.
Choose a supported proxy region, or use Global for a random exit across supported regions. Keep the observed network context with the result; choosing a region does not guarantee access or a particular response.
Let the browser language follow the proxy region or choose it manually. Ask for the desired answer language in the prompt, such as requesting a response in English or Chinese.
Set the overall capture timeout from 10 to 120 seconds in the console. The API uses timeoutMs in milliseconds. Allow additional time in your HTTP client to receive the result.
04 / FROM DATA TO DECISIONS
Capture the questions your audience asks to study brand mentions, cited content and competitor information. Ask the same questions through the ChatGPT scraper to compare platforms in your own generative engine optimization (GEO) workflow.
Collect answers to product-discovery and comparison questions your customers ask. Look for brand mentions, descriptions and alternatives to understand your presence in Gemini recommendations and inform your GEO research.
Review the citations Gemini presents and the available retrieved sources. Investigate which pages support the response, then use those observations to plan useful content or verify a claim.
Use the same prompts with Gemini and ChatGPT, retaining each capture's language and network context. Schedule API calls in your own workflow and store dated results to compare brand mentions and sources as answers change.
05 / API INTEGRATION
Select Gemini in AI Search Insights, inspect your request settings, then use platform: gemini with the same /ai-search endpoint.
Open AI Search Insights and select Gemini. Write the prompt you want to investigate, then choose the proxy region, browser language and overall timeout.
Run a capture in the console and inspect the returned text, available sources and network context. Decide which fields belong in your research or monitoring workflow.
Open API integration to copy the request for your settings. Replace YOUR_API_KEY on your server and send POST /ai-search with platform set to gemini. Save responses in your own application for further analysis.
curl --request POST 'https://api.adscrawl.net/ai-search' \
--header 'x-api-key: YOUR_API_KEY' \
--header 'Content-Type: application/json' \
--max-time 140 \
--data '{
"platform": "gemini",
"query": "Recommend a few good-value phones and include reference sources.",
"country_code": "GLOBAL",
"timeoutMs": 120000
}'Replace YOUR_API_KEY with your API key and run the request on your server. The example sets a 120-second task timeout and allows 140 seconds for the cURL response.
06 / FAQ
It captures Gemini answer text and the cited sources, retrieved sources and ad information available during the request. The API also exposes the proxy region, browser language, observed exit network and task ID, so you can interpret the answer with its capture context.
No. Available sources and ads depend on the prompt and what Gemini presents during capture. Some answers have none. Check each returned field before using it, and do not interpret an empty field as evidence that a topic has no supporting information elsewhere.
State the requested language in your prompt, for example, asking Gemini to answer in Chinese. The browser-language control sets the browsing context. Automatic follows the proxy region; changing that setting alone does not require the answer to use the same language.
Yes. Both platforms are available in AI Search Insights and use POST /ai-search. Send separate requests with platform set to gemini or chatgpt. Keep the prompt and relevant settings consistent, retain each capture's context and compare the text and available sources in your own application. Answers can vary between runs.
You can schedule repeated API requests in your own system and save dated results. Define the brand names, topics and citation measures you want to compare, then analyze the captures over time. AdsCrawl supplies the collected data; your workflow handles scheduling, storage and scoring.
Yes. Select Gemini in the AI Search Insights console, configure a question and inspect the result. The API integration panel provides a cURL request based on your settings. Gemini and ChatGPT are available; Google AI Mode and Google AI Overview remain marked Coming soon.
